Ring of Fire
If the Bible Matrix premise is correct, there’s an entire channel of communication in the Scriptures which scholars have overlooked. How cool is that? Well, this particular one is pretty hot, actually…
Psalm 95
Light (Ark)
Oh come, (Call)
…..let us sing (Delegation)
……….to the LORD! (Silent Bridegroom)
……………Let us shout (Law)
………..joyfully (Singing Bride)
…..to the Rock (Mountain/Altar Split as Door)
of our salvation. (Rest)
Firmament (Veil)
Let us come (Sabbath)
…..before His presence (Passover)
……….with thanksgiving; (Firstfruits)
……………Let us shout (Pentecost)
……….joyfully (Trumpets)
…..to Him (Atonement)
with psalms. (Booths)
Dry Land, Grain & Fruit Plants (Altar & Table)
C O V E N A N T G I V E N
Stanza 3 has two cycles. The first raises the Land as Altar; the second puts sheep on the Altar as the Firstfruits Lamb, the “nearbringing” blood that allowed Adam to approach.
For the LORD is the great God, (Creation)
…..And the great King above all gods. (Division)
……….In His hand the deep places of the [Land]; (Ascension)
……………The heights of the hills are His also. (Testing – Rulers)
……….The sea is His, for He made it; (Maturity – Nations)
…..And His hands formed the dry [Land]. (Conquest – Mediators)
The Land is created in six lines. The seventh, Booths/Glorification, the sheltering tree bearing godly fruit, follows the Treaty pattern: the Covenant is cut in 5 lines:
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; (Transcendence)
…..Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Hierarchy)
……….For He is our God, (Ethics – Ruler)
…..and we are the people of His pasture, (Sanctions – Mediators/Sacrifices)
And the sheep of His hand. (Continuity – Covenant Succession)
Ruling Lights (Lampstand – Ethics)
C O V E N A N T O P E N E D
Today, if you will hear His voice: (Genesis – Creative Call)
…..“Do not harden your hearts, (as Pharaoh in Exodus)
……….as in the rebellion, (bad Levites – false ascension)
……………As in the day of trial in the wilderness (Numbers – Day/Night Rulers)
……….When your fathers tested Me; (Deuteronomy – Incense Elders)
…..They tried Me, though they saw My work. (Joshua – Mediators)
Again, the seventh line follows the Covenant pattern. But this time it is a Covenant lawsuit. The “Shekinah” step (7) of this stanza is the consuming fire of the Covenant.
For forty years I was grieved with that generation, (Transcendence)
…..And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts, (Hierarchy)
……….And they do not know My ways.’ (Ethics)
…..So I swore in My wrath, (Sanctions)
‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ” (No Continuity)
The Psalm puts the sacrifice on the Altar, but the holy fire does not purify, it incinerates. It is a song of the generation whose bodies fell in the wilderness, died in the refining furnace. They were not a seven. They were a three-and-a-half, a Creation formed but not filled, a generation without spiritual fruit.
It was their children who received the Law in Deuteronomy, and completed this pattern. The author of this Psalm leaves us with God’s judgment upon the wicked generation, a generation of fiery serpents who were doomed to die in the wilderness, in the furnace environment of the Law-Spirit of God. As in the first century concerning Herodian worship, Pentecost spelled their doom.

The fourth and (anti-)climatic step is particularly striking. It thematically follows the Bible book sequence very closely.
Today, if you will hear His voice: (Genesis – Creative Call)
Not only the voice of God appears in His Creative Word in Genesis 1, but in Genesis 3 we first hear of anyone ‘hearing’ the “voice of God” in Scripture. (v. 8,10)
“Do not harden your hearts, (as Pharaoh in Exodus)
Now that’s an obvious link!
as in the rebellion, (bad Levites – false ascension)
It reminds of the priestly sin recorded in Leviticus 10.
As in the day of trial in the wilderness (Numbers – Day/Night Rulers)
Now “trial” is the description of the fourth step of the Dominion pattern (Testing)! And “In the Wilderness (B’Midbar) is the Jewish name of Numbers!
When your fathers tested Me; (Deuteronomy – Incense Elders)
Within the first seven books, the phrase “your fathers” is maximized in Deuteronomy. (Cp. 32:17)
…..They tried Me, though they saw My work. (Joshua – Mediators)
“My work” on Step 6 reminds that the creative Work of God was finished in SIX days. Day 6 was when God “saw” all His work. (Gen 1:31)
Hebrews 3 and 4 discusses Psalm 95 and relates God’s work and rest to the Week of Creation. (Cp. Heb 4:4)
The extended seventh step explicitly alludes to God’s oath (seven = swear) and God’s rest (seventh day).
Awesome!

Yes, Day 6 does seem to prove that we must be aware of all three patterns working simultaneously, as do the persons of the Trinity.
Excellent observations. Thank you.

Mike,
Have you done anything with Jesus’ 3rd day? Why was he raised on the third day and not the 7th or the 8th. The 8th, it seems, is more appropriate. Or are we to make the connection of the 8th day without the Scc saying so? It makes a lot of the 3rd day, but if the 3rd day is only a 1/2 way thing…help.

Day 3 is the “bread and wine plants” coming out of the Land: the Firstfruits head of grain. Jesus’ resurrection was the “raw material” for the greater feast awaiting the Bride.

Christ was resurrected both on the third and on the eight day. It was the third day from his death and the “eight” day of the Passion week – the first day of the New Week.
It was a new beginning, a New Creation. The Resurrection day is both the first and the eight day, much like a musical octave. The eighth note is the first of the new octave. The Resurrection raised Creation to a new level beyond the natural seven-day week.
Likewise, circumcision was performed on the eight day, and Scripture typologically links Circumcision to Christ’s Resurrection. (Colossians 2:11,12) The Old Testament ritual was a shadow of the entrance into the NEW covenant.
